The National Academy of Science and Technology, Philippines (NAST PHL), in partnership with the Philippine Association for the Advancement of Science and Technology (PhilAAST), conducted its fourth industry-focused Roundtable Discussion (RTD) entitled “Insights from the Industry: Roundtable Discussion for the External Review of PAGTANAW 2050 Focusing on Food, Nutrition, and Health Systems,” on November 21, 2025, in UP Diliman, Quezon City.
The discourse addressed strengthening farmer livelihoods, improving nutrition, modernizing health systems, supporting local manufacturing, building smarter communities, and setting clear governance milestones.
Key presenters included Mr. Julius Barcelona, Chief Operating Officer of Harbest Agribusiness Corporation; Dr. Dennis B. Batangan, Research Scientist and Lecturer from Ateneo de Manila University; and Dr. Raul V. Destura, Founder & CEO of Manila HealthTek Inc.
