The National Academy of Science and Technology, Philippines (NAST PHL) convened the National Training of Trainers on the Development of PAGTANAW 2050, the Philippine ST&I Foresight Indicators, on 10-11 April 2025, in Alabang, Muntinlupa City.
The two-day workshop featured presentations from the authors of PAGTANAW 2050’s thematic clusters—Food, Nutrition, and Health; Environment and Space Exploration; Energy and Water; and Built Environments. It aimed to equip participants with the knowledge and skills to integrate foresight-based strategies into their regional programs in alignment with the PAGTANAW 2050 vision. In addition, the workshop focused on refining the ST&I foresight indicators developed during the earlier SANDIWA workshops.
In attendance were the Project Leader and Co-Project Leaders of Project 1—Academician Glenn B. Gregorio and Dr. Rico C. Ancog—as well as Assistant Secretary for Foreign Developments, Ms. Maria Teresa B. De Guzman. Also present were DOST Regional Directors: Dr. Teresita A. Tabaog (Region I), Dr. Virginia G. Bilgera (Region II), Dr. Julius Caesar V. Sicat (Region III), Mr. Rommel R. Serrano (Region V), Dr. Romela N. Ratilla (Region X), and Dr. Anthony C. Sales (Region XI), along with planning officers from their respective regions.
